Things I should be doing

One of the many diversions I have in life, which also enhance things somewhat, is my role as a reviewer of Albums for Cross Rhythms, a Christian music website and of books for Christian Marketplace, a rather interesting publication that goes to (the few remaining) Christian booksellers and those interested in recently published books. At the moment I have three Albums for which I should really have completed the reviews a couple of weeks ago, and four books two of which I have read - which were rather good. The time to actually sit down and review these coherently is lacking, though, and when I do have a bit of time to myself I actually want to get on and read, or pray, or just 'be'... Sometimes the incentive to get these things done is just not there! When I get them done I may well post them, it will add to the sense of achievement I have now I have found what exists under those papers that previously were scattered all over my study... I suspect I will have one of those e...

So much to say...yet

Over this past week my mind has been buzzing with issues, ideas, thoughts, concerns, hopes and dreams, yet I don't seem to have been able to get them into coherent enough form to actually write them down in any comprehensible way. I am taking some time over the next couple of hours to tidy up my study and finish some of the filing and sorting I have been doing over the past week or two, so I may well find that some ideas come to mind which I blog on in this time! The light at the end of the tunnel...

...is not an oncoming train! After six weeks of funerals, many of them from one village, it looks as though things are starting to even out again! All the other things, services, visiting, prayers, sermons, talks etc etc have carried on as well as a lot of bereavement care and a lot of time planning and leading these goodbyes so I simply haven't had time, or indeed energy, to put into blogging. Thanks for the ongoing comments and messages, they have been much valued, hopefully now I can get back to some semblance of normality. Many other significant things have happened over the past few weeks. My wife has stopped her paid employment (though she works as hard as ever, she's just not paid for it at home). My son reached his third birthday pretty much intact, except for a chipped tooth due to a run in with a vacuum cleaner wielded by his enthusiastic older sister in a moment of trying to help with the cleaning. With all the busy-ness that has gone on I have not been writing ...
