Sporadic blogging

Just a warning, things have been pretty all over the place hence the random blog entries. This is likely to be the case over the next few weeks. There's alls sorts of catching up to be done and some holiday coming too so less and less chance to blog. I am still grateful for all of you who keep visiting and thanks for the comments when i do get the chance to blog. To those whose blogs I'm behind on reading and commenting on, apologies, but I'll catch up later.

I see you have added the facebook application - now you have no time to blog LOL!
But you must keep it up - you have fans you don't even know that like to glimpse your life and imagine ministering to six in the UK.
You can increase traffic to your blog by registering a profile on wondercafe.ca and leaving your site link in your signature. Just some advice.
http://wondercafe.ca can also be a great place to get ideas for sermons and articles... and please, Keep up this great blog!

Enjoy your summer. I get caught up feeling responsible to post as well, and I don't know if that makes sense. It's not like someone forced me to start.

I look forward to your next post, but take your time. After all, it's not like you're getting paid to write this.

Ah worry ye not... tis the silly season!

July and August seem to always be quiet as people pop in and out of holidays... and lose rhythmn from their lifestyle.

Another sermon - as seems to be the way of this blog at present! A Sermon which upset someone

So, I'm not a theological conservative.  That probably comes across in pretty much everything I write, but I thought I should say it.  I believe myself to be orthodox, however, and hold to those things which the Church expresses in the catholic creeds.  I also have a relatively 'high' theology regarding the inspiration of Scripture. But I am not a Biblical literalist, nor do I hold to a doctrine of the infallibility of Scripture. I can't.  The Bible is too rich, too deep, too difficult, too flawed for that.  And by flawed I mean I understand it to be the record of human beings trying to make sense of God at work.  It has the breath of the Spirit blowing through it's words and on every page, but when we try and make sense of God there is a chance we will go awry....
